Self-Insured Dental Plans

A BAI Dental self-insured dental plan is a cost-effective solution versus a traditional fully-insured dental plan. Employers can design a plan that is customizable to their needs and financial goals.

Overview

Instead of paying a standard premium based on a projection of claims, the self-insured dental plan allows you to only pay for claims that are actually incurred. Most plans include an annual maximum per covered member (usually between $1000 to $2000) which limits your plan’s liability. Outside of the claim costs, you’ll also pay a low administrative fee per covered employee per month. Employers can save 20% or more versus a fully-insured dental plan so this is a great way to control your costs and offer a great benefit to your employees.

The BAI Dental network includes the vast majority of dentists in Northwestern Pennsylvania and we supplement this with the Dentemax network for members outside of the local area.
